Dutch Mill Bulbs Grow Guarantee
We Guarantee Your Success
At Dutch Mill Bulbs, your fundraising success matters. We’ve stood behind every flower bulb, corm, tuber, and bare-root plant we’ve shipped since 1960. When you choose our fundraising program, 50% of every sale goes directly to your organization—and we’re committed to making sure your supporters receive premium quality planting stock that grows beautifully.
This Grow Guarantee protects both your organization and your supporters with a clear, fair replacement policy.
What We Guarantee
If any item fails to grow during its first growing season when properly stored, planted, and cared for according to our instructions, we will:
✓ Replace the same item (if available), or
✓ Provide a comparable item of equal value (if the original is unavailable)
Important: Because 50% of every sale supports your fundraising organization, we provide replacements rather than refunds or returns. Replacements are subject to seasonal availability and may ship during the next appropriate planting season if current inventory is depleted.
How to Qualify: Storage & Planting Requirements
To qualify for the Grow Guarantee, all items must be properly stored and planted following these requirements:
Plant in the Same Season You Receive Them
Bulbs, corms, tubers, and bare-root plants are perishable and cannot be stored for future seasons. Items must be planted during the season they’re received.
Store Correctly Before Planting
For bulbs, corms, tubers, and most bare-root plants:
- Store in a cool, dry, dark location
- Protect from freezing, excess moisture, and direct sunlight
- Plant as soon as seasonal conditions allow
For bare-root strawberries (special handling required):
- Refrigerate immediately upon arrival
- Keep packaging open to prevent condensation buildup
- Plant as soon as the danger of hard frost has passed
Plant at the Proper Time
Spring-planting items:
Plant after the danger of hard frost has passed for your region.
Fall-planting items:
Plant when nighttime temperatures are consistently below 55°F and soil has cooled.
Follow Planting Instructions
Always follow the planting depth, spacing, soil type, watering, and sunlight requirements provided on each bag topper or through the QR-linked planting guide.
⚠️ Failure to follow these guidelines voids the Grow Guarantee.
What Is Covered
The Grow Guarantee covers failure to grow during the first growing season only, provided that:

The Grow Guarantee does not cover:
✗ Late planting or storage for future seasons

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Grow Guarantee
Q: What if my bulbs don’t bloom the first year?
A: Some bulbs may take one season to establish before blooming fully. If there’s no growth at all (no leaves, stems, or roots), contact us for a replacement.
Q: Can I get a refund instead of a replacement?
A: No. Because 50% of every sale supports your fundraising organization, we provide replacements rather than refunds.
Q: What if I planted late and the bulbs didn’t grow?
A: Late planting is not covered under the Grow Guarantee. Items must be planted during the appropriate season.
Q: Do you guarantee that bulbs will come back every year?
A: We guarantee first-season growth only. Perennial performance depends on variety, climate, soil conditions, and ongoing care.
Q: What if an animal dug up my bulbs?
A: Loss due to animals, pests, or wildlife is not covered under the guarantee.
