Follow these steps when you recieve your collective brochure order to ensure an organized, accurate, and efficient receiving process.
- 1. Preparation
-
Before beginning the unpacking process, make sure you have a clean and organized space where you can easily sort and count the items. Gather any necessary supplies, such as a pen, notepad, and the packing slip, to assist with inventory and record-keeping.
- 2. Request Assistance
-
If your order includes multiple items or large quantities, ask a second person to assist you. This can help make the process more efficient and reduce the risk of errors. Be mindful of the number of helpers, as too many people involved can lead to confusion and mistakes during the receiving process.
- 3. Organize and Sort
-
As you unpack the items, keep similar items together. For instance, group all similar items in one area, all ITEM A, ITEM B, and so on. This organization helps ensure that each ITEM’s quantities MATCH the quantities indicated on the included packing slip. This packing slip is a direct reflection of your order and what we use to pull and pack your order.
- 4. Count Each Item
-
After the items are unpacked and sorted, count the quantity of each item. Be thorough and precise to ensure accuracy.
- 5. Compare with Packing Slip
-
Take the packing slip included in the package and compare the quantities of items you sorted. Ensure that each item and its quantity match what is noted on the packing slip.
- 6. Recount if Necessary
-
If there are any discrepancies between your count and the packing slip, recount the items to confirm the numbers. Double-checking helps catch any counting errors and ensures accuracy.
- 7. Report Discrepancies
-
If you find any discrepancies after recounting, contact Dutch Mill Bulbs, Inc within 24 hours. Email them at info@dutchmillbulbs.com with details of the discrepancy, including the item name, expected quantity, received quantity, and any other relevant information. Prompt reporting helps address issues quickly and ensures any corrections can be made efficiently.
- 8. Delivery and Storage
-
After confirming the quantities are correct, please distribute all items for planting within 24-48 hours.
