  1. How much money can a group make by selling flower bulbs?

    50% of sales are given to each group.

    As little as $6.50 or as much as you want…some groups earn $1,000’s of dollars each season.

  2. Are there any costs to begin a fundraiser?

    There are NO costs to begin your fundraiser with DMB.

    Sign up for free and receive your tools to run a fundraiser.

    • Colorful brochures, order forms

  3. Can I sell by brochure?

    Yes, as a leader you can easily request FREE colorful brochures each season, complete with order forms, directly from the website.

    • Show the brochures to neighbors, family & friends
    • Tell them WHY you are raising money
    • Ask them for orders
    • Be sure to thank them for their order and support
  4. How do I submit a brochure order?

    You can submit your collective brochure order easily on the website when you login to your account.

    • Download the "Tally Template" from the season and enter your orders
    • Login to your account and click the grey box labeled "Place Order"
    • Select your season and click SEARCH, then enter your quantities from the spreadsheet
    • Follow the prompts to submit your complete order
  5. What methods of payment are accepted?
    • Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard & Discover
    • PayPal
    • Purchase Order
    • Check: NO THIRD PARTY CHECKS ACCEPTED
    • Payment is expected within 30 days of order being placed to avoid finance charges
  6. Who do my customers (supporters) make their checks payable to?

    Dutch Mill Bulbs does NOT accept third party checks (no checks from your customers).

    Please request your supporters make ALL checks payable to your organization ONLY.

  7. Can I sell online?

    Yes, Dutch Mill Bulbs offers an online fundraising program!

    • Share your customized URL (link) on your social media platforms, website and email to your target supporters such as loved ones who live out-of-town.
    • Request a QR to use on printed materials used to advertise your fundraiser. *Note that there is a poster template available to download and customize on the website.
    • Leaders can monitor online sales throughout the fundraiser as well as view online sales history
  8. When are the profits received from the brochure & online sales?

    The profit from brochure sales is kept right away. When you submit your brochure order, the price is calculated at 50% so you keep the profit up front.

    The profit from online sales will be processed at the conclusion of your fundraiser each season.

  9. How are the profits received from the online sales?

    The leader must login to their DMB account and END the fundraiser. This step will disable your URL and no additional sales will be taken until enabled again.

    • FIRST, make certain that your brochure order has been submitted.
    • Then, confirm or update how you prefer the profit check be made payable AND the mailing address where it will be mailed
    • Click the END button and your fundraiser will officially end for the season
    • You will receive an email with the final sale totals for your season as well as your expected profit earned from online sales
  10. When do the flower bulbs get shipped in the SPRING season?

    In the Spring Season, the flower bulbs get shipped by location with the warmer areas getting shipped in the first of three phases.

    • Mid-March (around March 15th) shipping begins to the warmest zones in the southern region of our country
    • Early April (around April 1st) shipping begins to the next warmest zones in the middle region of our country
    • Mid-April (around April 15th) shipping begins to the coolest zones in the northern region of our country
    • Orders are shipped in the order they are received, relative to the shipping zone
    • When orders leave our facility, emails are sent with tracking information so the purchaser can track the package and can plan to expect its arrival
  11. When do the flower bulbs get shipped in the FALL season?

    In the Fall Season, the flower bulbs get shipped beginning in Mid-September (around September 15th).

    • Orders are shipped in the order they are received
    • When orders leave our facility, emails are sent with tracking information so the purchaser can track the package and plan to expect its arrival
  12. How will I know how to plant the flower bulbs?

    Every package of flower bulbs comes complete with planting instructions directly on the label.

  13. Do I have to make more than one order if I want to support multiple people within the same fundraiser?

    No, you can place ONE order and include the names of all you are supporting at the checkout area.

    Save money on shipping by placing ONE order to support more than one person within the same fundraiser.

  15. How long can I run the fundraiser?

    Fundraising with Dutch Mill Bulbs is quite flexible and you can choose your own dates to fundraise within our seasons.

    Most groups fundraise for 3 weeks, some a little more or less.

  16. When do orders need to be placed?

    We recommend placing all orders well before the last day of the season.

    • Spring Season ~ ends the Tuesday FOLLOWING Memorial Day
    • Fall Season ~ ends the Tuesday FOLLOWING Thanksgiving
  17. How do I know when to expect my order?

    When your order leaves our facility, you can expect an email with the tracking information so you can plan for its arrival accordingly.

  18. What suggestions can Dutch Mill Bulbs offer for unboxing my order when it arrives?

    For LARGE orders, DMB recommends TWO people work together to unbox the order.

    Please be aware that the items are distinctly marked by several factors on each label; you will see:

    • NAME OF THE PRODUCT
    • ITEM LETTER
    • DIFFERENT COLOR BAND
      • Remove all items from the box(es) and keep like items together (All A's, B's, C's...)
      • Count each item (All A's, B's, C's...)
      • Compare the count to the packing slip included with your order
      • Recount if necessary
      • Contact Dutch Mill Bulbs within 24 hours with any discrepancy or concerns
  19. As a leader, how quickly do I need to distribute the flower bulbs to our supporters?

    You should distribute the flower bulbs within 24-48 hours of receiving them if possible. Doing so will give your supporters the best chance of success with the bulbs.

    Delaying delivery or storing the flower bulbs inside the boxes for too long is not good for flower bulbs/bare root plants & can potentially void the Grow Guarantee.

  20. Do our online supporters have to pay a shipping fee?

    Any order with less than 35 items will incur a shipping fee. Most individual orders do not meet that requirement.

    Shipping rates are located on our website under the Shipping Policy.

  21. Are the online orders shipped directly to the supporters?

    Yes, all orders are shipped directly to the address entered by your supporter when the order is placed.

    They are shipped in the order we receive them, so no waiting for your main order to be submitted before we ship to your online customers.

    FYI: We can ship flower bulbs to others as GIFTS!

  22. Where can the flower bulbs be shipped?

    Dutch Mill Bulbs ships the flower bulbs to the contiguous 48 states.

    We do NOT ship to Alaska, Hawaii, territories, AFO/APO addresses.
